Besides laying concrete, we can take care of many jobs related to our work. This gives you the benefit of not having to deal with different trades people, and bypasses the always present ‘timing problem’ that different trades have. It usually works out cheaper as well.

SOAK WELLS AND STORM WATER DRAINS:

We offer advice on all drainage problems, supply and install all sizes of soak wells, box drains (channels), or plumb up new drains into existing soak wells. (Also read the FAQ section on soak wells)

LIMESTONE BLOCK WALLS AND RETAINING WALLS:

We lay walls and retaining walls, large or small, mostly with limestone blocks, (because they are cost effective, fast to lay, solid and strong and look good in almost any setting). You can choose between natural limestone or reconstituted. As with all our work, we don’t take shortcuts, we make sure your wall will not move in a lifetime. It is difficult to give a price estimate on walls because of the site specific variables like access, preparation needed, difficulty of earthworks (rocky etc.); they are all really price determining factors. Many jobs though are straight forward enough and if you describe the job accurately, using the enquiry form on the contact page, we will try to give you a rough quote; otherwise we come out to you.

FOOTINGS / RESTUMPING:

We dig and pour footings for walls, piers etc. We can also restump older patio posts etc. because they sometimes sag or have never been concreted in properly. When you are having new concrete laid, it is better to secure those posts, so that they last as long as your new concrete.

EARTH WORKS AND BOBCAT SERVICES:

 We work closely together with several bobcat operators and prefer to work with them because we are sure the job is done properly, but of course you are free to use ‘your own’. If a bobcat cannot access the property we do the earth works manually.  We can usually give you an estimate on the bobcat costs, except for on extensive or complicated jobs. It remains a separate service though.

REMOVAL OF SOIL, GRASS AND RUBBLE (OLD CONCRETE, PAVERS):

We can take care of removal of any ‘old or new ’piles of dirt, by ways of bobcat, or manual handling and bin hire.

CLEANING AND (RE-)SEALING:

Old or badly stained concrete; coloured / patterned or not, can be improved dramatically if properly cleaned (by acid wash and/or high pressure clean) and (re-)sealed. One option that is not very well known is to add some tint to the sealer. A great way to get rid of boring grey concrete (that is in good condition structurally) is to replace it with an earthy tint (transparent or solidly tinted) to suit your home. The new look will depend on what the condition of the concrete was like (eg; colour, possible stains that could not be removed).
